Trim and Tilt conversion

I have a 1979 mercury 150 mounted on a 1995 procraft. It has the older style tilt and trim, (motor inside the boat). is there any way to convert the tilt and trim to a later style where the tilt motor is on the outboard motor?

You would have to change the midsection and clamp brackets........

Are all mid sections enterchangeable?
