Trim and Tilt Motor Question

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of replacing the trim and tilt motor on my mariner engine. It is a 60 HP 2 stroke (serial number is 9444460). The year is 1978 I believe, I am not positive of that though. My question is this: On my current trim/tilt motor there are 4 hook ups for the hydraulic lines. All the replacement motors I am finding have only 2 hook up lines for the hydraulic cables. Would I be able to use a pump with only two hookups even though I have 4 hydraulic cables??

It seems like some people say it will work and others say it will not so I would like to be sure before I order the part.

Thank you for the help.

No if you have 2 cylinders ( 1 on each side of the driveshaft housing), you need 2 hoses per cyl. I for up and one for down.
