Trim and tilt - What is this noise?

When I lower the motor, it makes this squealing grinding noise but I can't figure out where it's coming from??? I thought maybe the motor was hitting the stern bracket so I put a piece of plastic in between the two but that's not it. I also did the same thing where the trim rods meet the motor and still no luck.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Good question but when was the last time anything has been grease?

Maybe 2 months? I'll grease all the fittings again and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks

I greased every fitting I could find and it didn't make any difference. Any other thoughts?

Is there any paint missing on the bracket vs engine? Is there any grease on the tips of the chrome trim rams where they contact the engine?

Tilt all the way back up and then start to lower it. As soon as it starts making that noise stop. At that point go back and look closely at everything around the transom clamps and the piviot yoke. Get yourseld a small mechanics mirror if need be. As if need be mark the clamp with a sharpie and raise it again and look.

Hello there , the noise you are hearing is coming from inside the hydraulic cylinder.
Something is scraping the sides or something has broken off inside the casing
