I have this panel on my Sunesta (see picture), not sure what it's called. With the drive down/up, the analog instrument displays full down/up on the trim gauge (lower right). When the drive is up, and I lower it, the gauge immediately responds.

However, when the drive is down, it takes a while before the analog gauge starts to move on the up cycle....

I tried the recalibration procedure, but it makes no difference? Could it be the trim sender? I had to add a bit of trim fluid, but it made no difference.

Sounds like the trim sender. If you are worried about trim operation, it is as simple as watching the drive move up/down as someone runs the switch at the helm. I'd be willing to bet that the trim system is functioning properly and the sender is just a bit off. They are expensive so most people would say to just get used to it.

Wow, $250.00.....guess I'll just re-calibrate the offset into my brain, and do a 5 count or something :)

My SX-A trim sender lags going up too. I've just gotten used to it and hardly notice it anymore. Happy boating!
