Trim cylinder removal(top pin???)

Hello, I am trying to remove the single ram cylinder from my 97 Force. The top pin seems seized. Cotter pin out and lightly tapped on the pin from both sides and no joy. Don't want to WHACK it until I got info from someone. Thanks again. Just want the cylinder off to get it rebuilt. Leaking from the top. Thanks

if the bottom shaft is also out then try working the ram a little to make sure that only the ram or bracket is stuck, but not both. if you can get a torch for heat and some penetrating oil up in there then that often helps.
