I have a 2007 200 Yamaha and the trim gauge does not work. Would like to know how to check the inputs to the guage and how it operates. Where the sensor is located. A diagram would be great. Thanks Cub48

Re: Trim Gauge Don't Work.

Cub48 I have a 2007 200 Yammy and lost my trim gauge. The sensor is located on the pivot where the engine trims up and down. It is made of plastic and broke off. Trim all the way up and reach up and slide your hand across the pivot. Looking at the back of the motor it will be about 2/3 the way across from the left. You should feel a plastic tab sticking up. This operates a sensor mounted on the motor. I was under warranty and they replaced the plastic clamp on the pivot with a metal one.

Yep you are right the clamp is broken. It is still under warranty also. The trim went out Saturday checked it out one of the bolts that hold the pin on the trim was gone it's the pin that goes thru the bottom. You may want to check yours make sure it's tight. Also noticed it has worn the bracket on the engine. Thanks Cub48
