Just thought id ask but does the trim gauge have any thing to do with the stop mode when lower the outdrive? It use to stop when it hit total down but now sorta just keeps running? It does stop going up to trailer mode. thanks

Ayuh,... The limit switch only stops Up movement,....

When at full down, the motor races without a load,.....

Agree and will add
The trim gauge has nothing to do with the trim limit motor or circuit

The trim gauge wiring is only for the trim gauge. There is no connection from the trim gauge/sender to anything else. There is also no limit switch for the DOWN mode. The only thing that stops the drive going further down is the mechanics of the drive. Once the drive reaches full DOWN, the trim pump just keeps going, but due to valving, it just 'unloads' and sounds like it stopped working.
