Trim gauge not registering properly

I have a 93 grady 232 w/93 yamaha 250. The trim gauge, which is black bar that moves up and down from line to line, just stays at the bottom of the gauge no matter how the engine is trimmed. Where is the sensor located? What does the sensor look like? Does it sound like I need a new sensor or hopefully just a wiring problem? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Trim gauge not registering properly

Probably just stuck. Tilt the motor all the way up and look underneath for a rather small thingy with a lever on it. The position of the lever sends the signal to the guage. Check if free and lube. They stick on my motors all the time - lots easier to look aft and see where the motors actually are.
