Trim gauge not working.

2002 Crownline 192 BR With Volvo drive. My trim gauge isn't working properly and was curious to know where the sensors are. I will look at replacing the gauge itself first but want to know where the other components are before I start.

Also the controls are backwards. When I push the button down it raises the engine and vise versa. I was told to be careful changing the lines around because they have different pressures. Let me know what you think.

The sender is what usuall fails and it is on the starboard side of the drive covering the gimbal pivot pin.

You can reverse the wires at your control and it will cure you reverse trim problem. Swap the green and blue wires at the switch. Did it always run backwards? What happened to make it work in reverse?

It was like that when I bought it. I will try this solution asap.
