1983 Ranger with 150 Evinrude. The trim gauge will work for part of the up or down movement then it will jump all the way to the up position.<br />Any suggestions?
Hi wannabefishn, My guess is that the tilt sensor which is the unit between the motor and the transom clamp is defective. It has an encapusulated variable resistor (potentiometer) in it and my guess is that water has found its way in and corroded the resistive winding.
