I have a trim gauge that is not working. I just replaced both trim limit and trim sender with new. I check all connections at the engine. trim limit works. I cannot get the gauge to move. I tried grounding the brn/white wire to the middle screw on the gauge and the gauge does not change. I don't believe it's the stock gauge as the face is white on it and all others are black. The way it was wired was the brwn/white wire was connected at the S terminal. Two purple wires at the I terminal. Three black at the ground terminal. Is this correct? If so is this likely a bad gauge?

Yep, the gauge is wired correctly, as brown w/white stripe is trim sender. With your ignition "on", check for about 5.2V on the sender post when you operate the trim button.
