I have a 1997 seaswirl striper that has a bad trim guage. I am at a loss on how to determine what brand it is or where to find one. Any Ideas I would like to keep it at least somewhat matching with the other gauges and of course it has to be matched for resistance with the sender. I have the gauge out but there is no indication on it except a sticker with what may be a part number 175484 . Any help is much appreciated.

Re: trim gauge

How do you know its not the sender? Its the sender on these that usually fail.

Re: trim gauge

Awesome ! Thanks a bunch ! Thats exactly what it looks like. The sender is new and was bad. The old one was the old style and was seized. I replaced it with much debate when I was replacing bellows this year. Damn thing cost me 150 bucks for the new style. So when I installed the new one and was getting it adjusted I got the needle to move down so quickly, that hadnt moved in years, it broke of the end of the needle and flipped what was left to the wrong side of the guage. So I was left with a new sender and a bad guage. Looks like about 20 more bucks will get me an operational guage, at least for a couple of years from what I hear. Thanks again !
