What make/model trim gauge would be a good replacement for the OEM gauge that was installed on my 1974 888 Mercruiser? Would any Teleflex trim gauge work or do they require different sending units?

Thanks
KW

Re: Trim Gauge

I Believe they're All the Same.........

BTW, It's Rarely the fault of the Gauge......
More likely the Senders or Wireing......

Re: Trim Gauge

As Bondo stated, the problem is probably in the sender on the drive. Even if it was the gauge itself, you would need one to work on the resistance specs coming from the sender. Stick with a Mercruiser gauge.

Re: Trim Gauge

Thanks guys. The gauge works but is a little jumpy. Could be the wiring as you guys stated. I am replacing all gauges on my panel with new ones (want a new look) and was just questioning the trim gauge.

If it is the wiring, do you guys know what the wiring diagram should look like for the trim gauge/sender. My Seloc manual does have the wiring diagram for the trim pump and for the instrument panel, but unless I overlooked, I don't see that particular diagram for the sender and the trim gauge.

Thanks
KW

Re: Trim Gauge

Instead of replacing with new Teleflex gauges, is it possible to buy the OEM gauges.....anybody know where to find them?
