Trim hose came out of the fitting-it looks like it came un crimped at the end.
My question is can it be crimped back on / replace the fitting OR[ B]must the hose be replaced.
It is not to bad access now but if a new hose is required its gonna be hard for me to reach.
Advise is appreciated. Thx-Joe[/B]

any advise on best way to replace? -I was thinking of tying the new hose to the end of the old one and pull thru. Reading on these forums it seems pretty tough.

Bondo, you thinking he got an updated version that someone removed the lockout assembly and spliced a hose on
Need more pics of exactly what type of trim system and mods performed on it.

pump2.jpg pump3.jpg so do ya'll think I could get this hose repaired instead of replace??? Please forgive my ignorance and thanks. I dread trying to replace the hose(s) . Reading thru the forms I got the idea to repace both hoses if your gonna do it.
Back of the motor is under the cowling from 6 inches ahead of the distributor. I have a 10 qt oil pan and 2 bilge pumps weged under it. Looking at photots of the motor install the 2 trim hoses are under the Y pipe. Will the ends fitting pass thru the holes??? If I am gonna replace I need to order them asap. A buddy told me he had a new fitting ( reverse lock out?) replaced and was running yesterday.
Thank You for your help-Joe

the hose that broke was an AIR BRAKE LINE from a truck- it should NEVER of handled fluid. I'll order the correct hose .
