Trim keeps leaking down, is it my pump or actuators?

I've asked this before and the reason I'm asking again is because I keep getting different answers. About half the people I talk to say it's my trim pump, and the other say it's the hydraulic rams.

I can get a used pump for about $50 (the pump, not the motor (which I just had rebuilt), or rams used for about $125 each.

I don't mind changing either one, but I don't want to guess as to what's wrong. I want to know.

I heard there is a way to change out the seals in the pump, but I can't find a rebuild kit.

So, how do I do a test and find out?

Thanks,
Steve

Without testing, there is NO way that question can be answered.
You don't say what you have there, but it's possible to test the the pump and cylinders to find out which is bad. With out testing, you are down to guessing, and that will always get you different answeres.

The OEM service manual for whatever you have, has the info and details on testing.
