Trim limit issue

Hello i have a 1983 ArrowGlass tri-hull with a 77 Gm i6 alpha 1 drive.
my problem is i had to replace both the trim sender and limit switch i got the sender working for the gauge but once i have the limit switch working i can push the up button and it will go all up but nothing if i push the trailer with it i adjusted the limit sender to shut off once i hit the up button and adjusted it but once that is done i can not work the trailer up with the up button??? as it stands now i have to leave it turned so i can use only the up button any ideas ???

Not fully understanding what does or does not work. Please re-read your statement and help clarify.

Not sure but, the gauge sender works the gauge?
The trim up switch works and shuts off once limit is reached, but the trailer button does not work?

If above statements are correct the sounds like you have maybe a bad switch issue.
