Hello all.
I recently installed new trim limit sender, but I am having trouble adjusting it. I lined the marks on the back of the switch, and installed. After that, I can adjust how far out of the water i want the lower unit to come out. I cannot adjust how low it will go into the water. Is that even something I can adjust? When I push down on the control box siwtch to bring the lower unit down, it will go down and the trim motor will just keep going until I let go of the switch. Please help.
Les.

That is how it works. The adjustment limits how far you can raise the drive (trim). It's so you won't break stuff by putting a load on the drive while it's too far up.
You can lower it all the way, which incidentally is where to have it on takeoff to keep the bow down as much as possible.

It will go all the way Up and all the way Down and hit the physical limits of the Hydraulic Cylinders.
The pump will keep running with the over-pressure valve bypassing the system. It will not cause any damage.
The UP Trim Switch is the only position that the pump shuts OFF automatically.
