Trim Motor Location

I have a 2008 4.3 GL SX-A Volvo Penta. Does anyone know where the trim motor is located?

I believe the motor has gone bad. The other day the trim just stopped working - it does not go up or down -

The relays click and when I switch the relays there is no change. If I hold the trim button up or down for a minute or so eventually the motor will attempt to turn and then die.

I am currently in a slip and need to know if I need to take the boat out of the water to get to the trim motor - thanks in advance

Start lifting hatches opening flaps at the stern of the boat. It is back there somewhere We cant tell you beacuse we dont know your boat set up. Other than looking cant tell ya but dont need to take it out of the water to find it. Isnt it under warranty? If so dont touch it.

The trim pump is on the outside of the boat, and the inside. You must pull the boat out of the water, remove the drive in order to get to the trim pump to remove it. You will then have a very large hole in the back of your boat.
