I have a 94 Mercruiser 350 Mag with an Alpha 1 lower unit and this weekend I noticed that my trim motor would not trim up, no clicking. Down is fine and Trailer (up all the way) is fine which is how I managed to get the trim to partially function. When I got back to the dock I tried to bypass the trim switch by jumping the trim harness and up would still not work, so the problem does not appear to be the trim switch. All of the wires on the trim motor appear to be in good shape so I do not think that it is a loose connection. It appears that my boat manufacturer started using the new Commander 3000 throttle/ trim set up in my boat and my Seloc manual only has the old set up so the manual was of no use in diagnosing the problem. The trim motor has SAE J1171 stamped on it and it I believe that up solenoid may be toasted but I wanted to see if anybody else ever had the same<br />problem.
