My 90 200 trim and tilt motor has been becoming increasingly SLOW both directions. Now it still moves but Barely. Pump/motor is prolly toast. OEM only comes as a unit $900 Aftermarket is $500. Anyone have any luck just replacing brush cage and brushes? Is it hard to do on this model?

I'd pull the motor and check it first, then go from there. Any electric starter shop should be able to rebuild'em

That's what I plan to do but was hoping someone had experience with this model as the pump and motor are one unit.
