I know there have been past posts on this issue, but I'm still at a loss..........help!
I am trying to figure out the wiring for trim gauge and tach w/three oil warning lights. I have the tach working, but the trim oil harness is still a mystery.
The trim gauge has four leads; orange, black, pink and gray. The plug on the motor has black, pink, and gray. What is the orange lead on the trim gauge that appears to not be used by my motor?
The oil warning lights are worse. There are three lights, with red w/blue, yellow w/red, green w/red leads, and a common black lead. On the motor, there is only a green and green w/red lead, (but the wiring harness itself has the green, green w/red, white w/red, and blue w/white leads, with a note that says "colors do not match across connector").
I hope I didn't make this sound even more confusing, but I don't see why this should be so hard! Shouldn't this stuff be plug and play?
Thanks for any help/info........
