I have a 1999 Bravo 3 and can't remember if the trim position sender lead is routed between the drive shaft bellows and the lube oil line or if it goes outside the lube oil line.

Does anyone know the proper routing?

Re: Trim Position Sender Lead Routing

I've got the merc service manual and have the leads properly mounted to the gimbal housing, but it does not specify the routing.

I'm was asking about the routing on the "water" side for the leads. What is correct routing for the lead from the gimbal housing to where the sender mounts on the gimbal ring. It appears I have a choice whether it's routed between the drive shaft bellow and the oil line or on the outside of the oil line.

I'm guessing it should go outside of the oil line, but thought I'd ask those who might know for sure.
