I need to take the hydraulic lines apart from the motor are they under pressure. Do I need to prepare for a mess?

Re: trim pressure??

Trim the drive all the way down and remove the hoses slowly as there may be some residual pressure. And also prepare for a mess.

No,

There's no pressure unless the pump is running. There could be a little if the drive is up due to the weight of the drive....but that's about it... Some will still "run out" though If you want to call that a mess .......

No. It bleeds during operation.

but only fill the reservoir when the drive is down.
