trim problem: thankyou for the tips

thank you all for the tips, especially picklenjim

i been having troubles with my trim pump, but now, because of all the tips, i have narrowed the problem down to faulty solenoid terminals. by jumping the terminal connections on the solenoids my trim now does go up and it does go down.


can i fix these? or, do i have to buy new ones?

Can't fix those,have to buy new.I thought it was just the up side solenoid you were having trouble with.Did you end up bleeding the down side?Be sure to disconnect the battery when changing!

Remember to keep telling us what this is . . . new thread, repeat info I was thinking Stringer OMC and had to go to your other thread to realize this is a 3.0 Merc . . .
