I purchased a 21' 1988 galaxy with no outdrive on it. I bought a used outdrive, and used cylinders. put everything together, put fluid in the trim pump reservoir, and pushed buttons. the up button made the outdrive go up, with some fuss. put more fluid in it after it drank it up, and it went up some more. this whole time the down button works (pump makes noise), but the unit does not go down. i tried pushing the up and the down for a few seconds each, but only up actually moves the outdrive. now the unit is all the way up! Could my cylinders be stuck? or not enough fluid? Could the pump not work one way(down), but work the other(up)? I also question the way i connected the trim hoses on the outdrive. what is the correct way to hook these up? its an alpha one. any help would be great. i am so ready to get this thing out on the water. thanks!

Ayuh,...... That's a Possibility......
or not enough fluid?
You haven't Checked it,.??....
Could the pump not work one way(down), but work the other(up)?
Ayuh,....... Possible,......But Doubtful......
I also question the way i connected the trim hoses on the outdrive. what is the correct way to hook these up?
Ayuh,..... I'd Question That as well,.......
The Up-lines go to the Up-side of the cylinders,+ the Down circuit goes to the Down-side of the cylinders........
