Trim Pump Issues Please Help

My trim pump was going out on my 87 Alpha Drive. It was clicking, but the motor was dying. Occasionally it would work, but sounded like a dying cat & finally killed over.

So, I ordered a new motor & installed it, but then it would not work from the switch. I referenced the manual and found that if you jump from the power lead to the small blue/white, or green/white wire on the solenoids, then the solenoid would need to be replaced

So, I replaced both solenoids, but it still will not work from the switch, nor will it jump on the smaller wires of the solenoid. I can jump the power lead to either the blue or green coming from the motor & it works fine.

I'm stumped. Please help.

The small blue and green wires coming from the switch are low amperage and just tell the solenoids when to work.
I would suspect a fuse is blown or the switch got fried.

Go to the Adults Only thread and find the manual for your engine and drive.
