Trim Pump Quit Working

I have a 2000 4.3 GL PEFS w/SX M drive. Recently the original trim pump motor died and today I installed a new motor. The motor runs OK in both directions but the pump does not deliver any fluid, either up or down. It's got me puzzled because the pump was running OK before the old motor died. Also, the fluid level in the tank is OK. Appreciate any help.

My error. I removed the pump assy from the engine compartment, brought it home and found the motor shaft coupling was not properly installed. I reinstalled the motor and coupling, bench tested the pump, and it runs OK. Lesson learned: Instead of working in a cramped space (Sunester 210 engine compartment) I should have taken the extra time to remove the pump in the first place!
