Hey everybody, I have a 99 Glastron 209 with the 5.0 GL motor and SX drive. I was wondering if there is a way to test the elec. motor/ pump. I am having issues . Monday I went to use the boat and the drive wouldn't go down, I wrapped on the motor and got it to go all the way down in the hoist but too low to use without scrapping the bottom. I tried to raise it up but only got it to bump up just a little. I thought I had a dead battery possibly so I charged it and tried it again tonight. I can hear the relays/selonoids clicking when you hit the trim/tilt button on the throttle/shifter. I was just wondering if I can do any tests before I go and pay for an expensive motor/pump.... Thanks for all the help.advice in advance

Re: Trim Pump Test?

If you could make the motor run by tapping on it, that usually means it's rusty and corroded inside. new motor time.

Don, would you happen to know the part number for that trim motor? I couldn't really read it as the sticker was a bit worn. Thanks again
