I own 1987 40 hp motor which I purchased in 2004. It worked for that summer and when I tried in 05 the trim motor was or is shot. Tried raising it and it started smoking so I am assuming my trim/tilt motor is fried.. I know there are a few trim/tilt motors on the iboats website. Just wondering what part number would be the correct fit for the engine. Want to get back on the water so somehting else can go wrong. Or is there a possibility of something else??
