trim question

I have 89 rinker and the trim motor has the plastic tank mounted below it and the tank seams to have movement back and forth and there is no way to tighten because of the mounting brackets for the unit comes down each side of tank so you can't turn it more than a 1/4 turn. Is this normal ?????

Nope,......

You need to remove the Complete Pump Unit from it's bracket,+ resecure the Tank to the Pump......

I took the trim motor apart from the bracket and the tank still seams to rotate back and forth and doesn't tighten up in either direction and you can't get it loose from the motor is this the way it is suppose to be???
