Trim question

got a 77 glastron w/ the volvo outdrive......<br /><br />it tilts down great - but it won't come up correctly. If I hold the button for a LONG time it will engage and lift. on land, I normally have to lift up on the outdrive, while someone hits the button, then it engages. Any suggestions on what to check?<br /><br />Ben

Ben, You need to adjust the tension on the spring inside the tilt mechanism. If you have a manual, it will show you how to do it. If not, you should get one before you start messing with these expensive parts.<br /><br />David
