Anybody have a part no. for the trim relay on a '88 75hp oil injected Mariner? Can relay for auto work? I'm new to outboards & this forum, just bought a 24 ft pontoon. Thanx for the help. Terry Clark in 10EC.

Terry,
Not sure the answer to you question, but you should private message one of the moderators to have this thread moved to either the electrical section, or the mercury/mariner outboard repair section. You would be allot more likely to get answers about your motors trim system there, instead of in the pontoon section. ;)

Re: Trim relay part no.

I moved this to the Merc/Mariner outboard forum. The trim is part of the motor, not the boat.

You also have solenoids, not relays. Auto solenoids might work, but you need to find the right type. Best to just get the right ones if you aren't sure. They will also fit in the cramped area under the cowling. The OEM part number is 89-96158. NAPA also carries Sierra brand of marine parts and the number would be 18-5817, or here at iboats. http://www.iboats.com/mall/partfind...gd_poid=111837&gd_row=28&session_id=129159889
