I have to replace the trim relays on my Volvo. They are 40 amp relays. Is any 40 amp relay with the same terminals and internal wiring safe to use, or do these relays have some special explosion proof characteristics to work with an inboard? Could buy one from the jobber for much cheaper than a Volvo dealer. Won't do so until I know that it is safe.
