Trim removal

Hello,I'm rebuilding a 19?? vanguard banshee .I need to take the black plastic off the trim to separate the top of the boat from the bottom.Could anybody tell me how to remove the black plastic from the aluminium rail.Is it supposed to slide out or do you pry it out.
