Hi i have a 2005 f200 and noticed that on one of the rams the dust seal seemed wet. Could it just be a fault dust seal, and if so is it hard to change? i notice theres a C -clip holding it in, do you have to unscrew the trim cyclinder end?

thanks

Re: trim seal leak??

the dust seal is pretty much just that.
its not an oil seal.
if the dust seal has oil coming out either the trim piston orings are leaking or the trim cylinder bore is scuffed or both.
remove the cap and piston, remove the oil from the bore and inspect. reassemble with new orings, backup rings and seals.
