Trim sender/limiit switch

Hello everyone and thanks again for past help. I have a 79 V-150 merc. #5342307. The out trim button will not work a have replaced sileniod and bridged the button and nothing. I have taken apart sender/limit switch and all appears well there. The trailer button works and I dont know where to go from here. The dealer tells me the sender/limit switch is no longer available. Any help would be great. Robert

Robert, If the trim limit switch is bad and there are no replacements, you will need to learn to live without it. Put a jumper in the PTT wiring harness where the trim limit switch splices in. It should be two purple wires. This will allow the use of the trim up switch
