Hello
I have a Bayliner ciera 2455 with a 5.0L V8 thunderbolt LX engine.
I have had to replace the trim senders as none where fitted when I brought the boat. Could anybody tell me where these should be connected.
All the diagrams I have so far been able to see just show one trim sender with one cable a negative and the other connected to the trim indicator, this is shown via the engine harness a brown and white cable.
I have traced the brwn/whi cable both sides of the harness plug with the dash side, I think making sense.
however engine side of the plug the brown/whi cable connects just below the main engine circuit breaker where a black negative connection is also. Each sender has two cables do both sets get connected at this point ?
am I correct in saying one of these trims is a sender and the other is a limit switch?
Thanks in advance for any help anybody can give on this steep old learning curve my first boat is being.
