trim/steering query

Just traced our minor oil drip to a leaky o ring from the trim cylinder from the VOLVO PENTA SX A (2008 model with 12 hours on it) drive trim cylinder. Is there is service kit. Seems a waste to trash a cylinder with 12 hours on the boat for this oil drip.

STEERING. What is the function of the ANCHOR BOLT on the Power steering pump assembly on the 5.0 L Gl / SXA drive combo.
We have had a v tight steering which used to pull to left and now is v hard to steer. Did the following.

We disconnected the steering cable to test the steering and cable movement before it links up with the Transom linkage. Steering and cable turn just fine.

Put everything back and the steering turns fine on dry dock with minor effort with ENGINE NOT RUNNING.

START THE ENGINE ON DRY DOCK and try turning the steering and its a lot harder and stiffer to turn the steering. I thought POWER STEERING was meant to make your life easier.
Clearly in this case the Power steering is making it harder to steer. No leaks of oil, no noises, also seen the P/S oil cannister and it shows oil is circulating.

While looking at the parts schematic I saw this item called an ANCHOR bolt for the steering cylinder. Wonder if any adjustment to it can ease off the steering. What is the purpose of this Bolt.

What about your warranty? Volvo warranty starts from the day it's registered. With only 12 hours, it can't be over 2 years old yet.

Do you have a FULL model number or serial number for your engine?

We bought the boat in USA about 2 years ago and then sent it to HK for use here. It only got comissioned 10 weeks ago. Volvo HK claim there is something called SHELF WARRANTY and that starts from the date of delivery of engine to Manufacturer. So irrespective of the boat being new and launched 2 months ago they are not playing ball. Had written to VP USA and they went blank a few weeks ago for other issues. I finally resolved those items myself and boat has been running fine. Full Engine Number is the VOLVO PENTA 5.0 L GL-J NO 3869397 and drive SX-A Its the raw water cooling system model with the Holly carburettor.

I can't say about the shelf warranty in Honk Kong, but I can tell you there isn't any such thing here. if I were you, I would be calling Volvo directly http://www.volvopenta.com/volvopenta/splash/en-gb/Pages/global_splash.aspx
You will need the serial number of your engine and drive. That 3869397 number is just a spec number and won't get you any help. Should be a tag on the motor and a sticker somewhere with a 10 number serial number.
