trim stuck in up

changed my impeller but while changing it my trim got stuck in up position. it will go run when i go up, but nothing happens when i press the down button.

getting voltage power is coming in. even tried a new solenoid, didn't fix it, took one i took out and replace it with the other and still same result.

the only thing i found was that i am getting no continuity from one of the wires going to the top solenoid from the trim control wire harness connector. i separated the harness and i get continuity from the other 2 wires but not the wire that goes tot he top solenoid.

do i need a new harness?

What drive are we discussing here. Year may help, SN would be better.

Bad connection, defective switch, hard to say for sure.
Here is the troubleshooting steps to find the problem.

so now i have swap the wires that control the up and down. so now when i press the up the motor goes down ( which now i can at least put the gear oil in and start the engine) but when i press the down button nothing happens.
i also am not getting any voltage to the original down wire when i press the down .

i am thinking it is the switch.
i have a new switch and the wire that goes with it. any one have any experience changing this switch out. i took the controller aprt and it doesn't seem very easy.
