My buddy just bought a used boat. One of the small things wrong with it is that there is trim switch up front. Separate from the one on the controls. I think the idea behind it is that you can trim up the motor from the casting deck when you drop your trolling motor. This switch is broken. Just the tab of the switch really. If you grab the little nub left you can tilt the motor. He's looking at replacing it and I'm wondering if you can just get a mom on - off - mom on and install that or if you need the actual trim switch from mercury.
The switch just looks like this one from what I can tell.
Its a much better price than this one price wise.
Is there something special about the switch?
