Trim Tab 48hp?

what does the trim tab on my 48 hp do? How should it be adjusted for a 18' tracker grizzly? Mine was broke off and i bought a new one to install. I'm talking about the piece thats mounted on lower unit above prop.

You will need to adjust it in small increments to get it right. Start it off as center as possible, then slightly to either side depending on the way the boat pulls. When removing for lu service, simply mark it with a marker for future reference for re installing.

if the steering pulls right move rear of tab to right, if pulling left, move rear to left. with the experimenting, you can get it almost perfect.
