Trim tab clearance and alternatives

Long story short. Had a merc 3 blade prop (48-78120-19). Ordered a Vortex 14" 4 blade prop w/ 20pitch.
Problem is in installingthe new prop I have practically zero clearance atthe trim tab (1/16th if I'm lucky). The delrin hub looks fully seated as far as I can tell.
Old prop had plenty of clearance. I was not expecting such a drastic change in clearances... any and all suggestions appreciated. I'd prefer to modify/change th trim tab before being defeated by the prop......

Just cut the trim tab back some, it only helps with steering and anode protection. It will still function.

Bought a speed trim tab. Fits great. Old trim tab was cracked, not worth the effort to cut. Thanks though...
