Trim Tab Degree Angle Question

Hi all;
I would like to install a set of "Smart Tab" trim tabs on my 17" Sangster.
My question is on the angle of slope from tine to tine and it's possible effects
on handling and performance.
I guesstemate the mounting angle to be @ 28% grade (old trucker the only way I know to calculate)
9" on the level with a 3.5ish" rise
That to me seems too much rake
and I feel it way make the handling somewhat wishy washy.

Hoping to glean some insights and experience from the fine folks on here who have experience
in such matters.
or...
Those that have their own ideas or concerns on the subject.
And, a picture.
Measurements are haphazardly done from the inside curves of the Starboard outside tine
to the next lower one to Port.
The lower area where my present Speedo pick up is destined for my transducer.

Hopefully that is enough info for a valiant start.

I've installed both stainless and composite Smart Tabs on 2 different boats (21' Pro-Line and 16' Sylvan), both of which had substantial rake (it's called 'deadrise' in nautical terms) at the transom. What you're calling the outer 'tine' is called a chine, and the 2 protrusions your speedo pickup is mounted between, are called 'strakes.' The stern of your boat looks almost exactly like the stern of my 16' Sylvan aluminum.

Don't overthink it. Contact Nauticus to recommend the right set, mount them according to their directions, and you'll note a big improvement in the boat's handling. Trust me, they'll work.

Thanks, appreciate the comeback and the positive reply.
The vessels I've seen them on around here just don't seem to have the same degree of "deadrise"
as mine.
Got me to (over) thinking.

I'm good to go!

This site is the best for gaining the knowledge we are after without dealing with a person that
may be after just another sale.

I installed the 60SX tabs last year on my boat and it is like a new boat. My boat was horrible with bow rise at take off, wondering at no wake speeds and porpoising in choppy water/boat wakes. They corrected all of that. There are some detailed instructions with pictures over in the Tahoe Boats forum that I looked at before installing mine that helped quite a bit. You won't be sorry installing them. Best thing I've added to my boat.
