trim tab for alpha1

i just bought a 96 searay 175 series with an alpha1 gen11 outdrive. owner give me old prop[aluminum] with some chunks out of it. he replaced it with a ss prop. i noticed the trim tab is also bent and im going to replace it. in the parts book they sho a trim tab for alum prop and one for a ss prop what are the differences? thanks ken

There are basically three different annodes for the location just above the prop.

- a flat plate - DO NOT use unless you have power steering.
- "regular" tab - most common
- offset tab - this one moves the tab rearward to clear props with more rake, more common on SS props.

Side note - when using a SS prop your annodes will wear faster so keep an eye on them if your boat is stored in the water.
