Trim tabs for futura Mark 2 worth the money?

I have a zodiac futura mark 2 with a mercury 40 hp outboard (max horsepower the boat is rated for). With two on board, it gets up on a plane pretty well and has decent speed. With more weight, you have to do some creative passenger placement. The boat still gets up on a plane, but is noticably slower. I've seen where companies are selling trim tabs, and claim that they have a noticable effect on ease of planing, as well as top speed. Are these things worth the money? Will I notice enough of an improvement to justify spending the bucks? If so, any recommendations for which tabs to buy? Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated.

They do help yes, but it is cheaper to do some people placement than getting the tabs .... you must remember that you only have a 40hp on the back .... the tabs won't give it more hp ...... you should work it at about 10hp per person at max for a comfortable ride .....
