1988 125, anybody got a link to a wiring diagram for this system?
Relays click , and after repeated attempts, circuit breaker pops. No warning, just worked on day, and not the next. Don't wanna guess current flow, I'd at least like to familiarize myself with the wiring circuit.

Re: Trim/tilt electrical

Bump for Bob.

You know, it might help them if you know the model number. They may all use the same system, but I know there was about a 100 different 125 models. Well, maybe that's a "slight" exaggeration. At least if it's relays, they're only $25.00. Rritt will come along, and he'll know....or Jerry or Frank or basically anyone but me. Good luck.

Re: Trim/tilt electrical

They only made 1 trim tilt system for the 88.125/85

If it pops the breaker I'd guess the motor's frozen.
Get a test light and someone at the dash.
Find the relays and test the current to them.
One is green and one is blue.

It easy to take the motor off the hydrolic pump body.
Just make sure it's covered when dismantled.

Re: Trim/tilt electrical

everything started working 5 minutes after my post, then all of a sudden motor just spinning, no tilt action. sounds like something cut loose in the pump. removed motor, end of shaft still clean and square. Fluid full, no leaks. Looking for a pump/valve hydraulic section now. I'm thinking pump was seized, ( popping breaker ) then started working ( jittery ), something gave out in the hydraulic unit, then motor freewheeling. Haven't removed valve body yet.
