Trim / Tilt- manual release seized

Does anyone have an idea of how to unseize the manual Trim/Tilt release screw on the engine bracket of a 112SPL Johnson?<br /><br />Can this be heated with a torch (provided there is now open fuel source near by)?<br /><br />What other options do I have?

Have you tried using a handheld impact screwdriver?

Make sure that you use the proper screwdriver tip that fits snuggly. Those flathead slots on the screw tend to strip out easily if care is not taken...
