What's the purpose/Benefit of a remote trim/tilt switch on the transom or near the swimming deck of a Sterndrive? Can't one just use the control stick trim control? I can see a small benefit when lowering when putting the boat away and lowering the drive close to the ground without hitting it. But I do this with a partner easily.

What am I missing?

Pure convenience. I had a few bass boats that had controls in three spots, helm, bow, and stern. Helps out quite a bit when you are setting the drive into a bracket when you are trailering
