I bought this today at the metal scrap yard (it works perfectly) but I do not know what the brand is or what it fits. I cannot find any manufacture markings. I have a '83 Mariner Straight 6 90hp that I had hoped this may work with after some configuration or modification but I didn't want to use it if it is not strong enough and then I would try to trade it or sell it. Suggestions? Anyone out there with a similar condition Mercury unit that would work with my motor that is willing to trade?

Re: Trim Tilt Unit Identification help

Hahaha ... got to looking on Ebay and there she was ... "SUZUKI OUTBOARD TILT & TRIM UNIT DT150-225HP (BR8786) THIS UNIT WILL FIT DT150-225HP V-6 2-STROKE SUZUKI OUTBOARD ENGINES. THIS UNIT LIST FOR OVER $3000.00 IS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION" If I cant convert it to fit my 84 Merc 90hp then off she goes to Ebay .... by the way ... the seller wants $450.00 for his used one that I got the information from. Thank God for scrap yards ... I got this, two almost new Marine batteries and a Fein Multitool for $40.00 cash. And to make things even more hilarious... the seller is in MY TOWN! Small world.
