trim units for 1991 88 spl

I have a 1991 88hp spl, I was wondering if a trim unit off of a 1998 johnson 150hp faststrike unit would fit my motor. I tried to get a cross referance but couldn't find anything online. I thought you all on here would know about these things. Thanks for checking this out for me.

The '98 PTT unit is held on by a rodin the very bottom of the transom bracket, and another rod in the tilt cylinder to motor's triple clamp. If your transom bracket and triple clamp have these attachment points, it may just fit.
